Description
This is the centerpiece for a larger project where we had to redesign a CD package. Given freedom to choose the package, I chose to redo an obscure album from one of my favorite bands, Fair to Midland. For anyone who doesn't know them, and I'm sure that'll be just about everyone, get on youtube now and look them up. This was meant to be one side of a 4 panel foldout booklet for their amazing albm Inter.Funda.Stifle. Their sheer strangeness is worth the time.
Anyhow, this piece took about 2 days of solid inking, and about an hour's worth of photoshop colorization. I still consider this primarily a traditional work, however.

Been making 3D models based on this image. I love this image so much and consider it "official" in a way- you have so many great ideas of "Fair to Midland" characters. I hope you make more.
